Fuel Prices in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Vary Up to 17.5 KM per Tank, Diesel Leads Cost Increase
The latest price monitoring released by the portal cijenegoriva.ba, which draws its figures from the official records of the Federal Ministry of Trade, shows that fuel costs across the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) continue to rise, with diesel leading the upward trend.
As of November 7, 2026, the average price of diesel stood at 3.83 Convertible Marks (KM) per litre, marking the highest level observed since the beginning of August. In the same period, the average price of gasoline (Super 95) fell to 3.29 KM per litre, making it 1.5 percent cheaper than a week earlier and 2.9 percent cheaper than a month earlier.
The price gap between the cheapest and most expensive pumps can be substantial. The cheapest diesel was recorded at 3.64 KM per litre at the Bingo Petrola station in Bihać. By contrast, the most expensive diesel price—3.99 KM per litre—was reported at two stations, one of them located in Orašje. This 0.35 KM per litre difference translates into a potential extra expense of 17.50 KM for a standard 50‑litre fuel tank.
Price dynamics over recent weeks indicate that diesel has risen by 1 percent in the last seven days, moving from 3.79 KM to 3.83 KM per litre. Compared with the average of 3.75 KM a month ago, the increase amounts to 2.2 percent. Looking back three months, diesel was on average 3.38 KM per litre, meaning the current price is 13.3 percent higher.
Super 95 gasoline showed a broader range of prices. The lowest price of 2.99 KM per litre was observed at twelve stations across the Federation, including locations in Bihać, Tuzla, Zenica, Mostar and Sarajevo. The highest price—3.65 KM per litre—was recorded in Žepče at a station operated by Zaha, a difference of 0.66 KM per litre compared with the cheapest pump.
Super 98 premium gasoline averaged 3.54 KM per litre. The cheapest Super 98 price, 3.29 KM per litre, was found at the El Tarik Oil station in Sarajevo, while the most expensive, 3.88 KM per litre, was at the Bosman station on Ilidža.
Autoplin (LPG) prices also displayed notable variation. The cheapest autoplin, at 1.15 KM per litre, was available at Hifa Petrol in Konjic, whereas the most expensive, 1.81 KM per litre, was again at Bosman on Ilidža. The overall LPG average stood at 1.47 KM per litre, up 5.4 percent compared with the previous month.
The data set comprises 739 fuel stations in 77 cities within the Federation. No comparable official price data are currently available for Republika Srpska or the Brčko District, as those entities do not maintain a public price registry.
Consumers are advised to use price‑comparison tools or mobile applications to locate the most economical pumps before refuelling, as the observed price gaps can significantly affect travel budgets, especially for drivers who frequently fill a full‑size tank.
