ANN Announces N1 and Nova S to Launch on Telekom Serbia and Yettel Platforms, Plans €11.3 Million Investment in Nova S by 2027

Belgrade – In a statement released on 4 November 2026, the board of directors of ANN Serbia confirmed that both its flagship news outlet N1 and the entertainment channel Nova S will be distributed via the country’s two largest telecom operators, Telekom Serbia and Yettel. The move is presented as part of a broader strategy to widen the reach of ANN’s channels and to attract a larger audience across Serbia.

“The negotiations with other operators are still ongoing, but we are pleased to finalize distribution with Telekom and Yettel, which will allow our channels to be accessible to viewers nationwide,” the board said. ANN also thanked Yettel for its long‑standing partnership and praised the operator’s professionalism in concluding the distribution agreement.

Alongside the distribution deal, ANN announced a substantial financial commitment to Nova S. The company plans to invest more than €11.3 million in the channel during the 2027 fiscal year. The funding will be directed toward the production of new locally‑produced entertainment formats, including fresh seasons of the popular reality series “Survivor” and other internationally‑recognised formats adapted for Serbian audiences.

The board emphasized that the investment is intended to raise the quality of Nova S’s programming and to position the channel as the first choice for Serbian viewers seeking entertainment. “We will strengthen Nova S with new domestic game‑show and entertainment content, ensuring that the channel meets the growing expectations of our audience,” the statement read.

ANN also hinted at upcoming organizational changes for N1 and the broader informational segment of its portfolio. Detailed plans will be disclosed in the coming weeks after consultations with trade unions, the board added.

In a related note, ANN confirmed that its other media properties, the news portal Radar and the business magazine Forbes, will undergo a revamp focused on new revenue models, including premium digital subscriptions aimed at financing high‑quality journalism.

The announcements come at a time when the Serbian media market is undergoing consolidation, and the involvement of major telecom operators in content distribution is seen as a way to boost viewership while ensuring stable revenue streams for broadcasters. Analysts note that the €11.3 million injection could make Nova S one of the most heavily funded entertainment channels in the region, potentially reshaping the competitive landscape.

ANN concluded its statement by reaffirming its confidence in Serbia’s democratic institutions and its long‑term vision of the country’s integration into the European Union, describing the investments as a contribution to a “prosperous future for Serbia as a full EU member.”
