Kasımpaşa continued their strong recent form in the Süper Lig by defeating Gaziantep FK 2-0 away from home. The match, which marked the opening fixture of the 11th matchday, ended with a comfortable win for the team from Istanbul, allowing them to extend their position in the upper tier of the standings.

Kasımpaşa struck early to take control of the game. In the third minute, a misplaced pass by Gaziantep’s Camara was intercepted by Rak-Sakyi, who immediately launched a counter-attack. His through ball set up Hajradinovic, who fired a powerful shot from outside the penalty area, sending the ball past keeper Ataberk Dadakdeniz to put Kasımpaşa ahead.

The break in the second quarter of the first half came via a penalty. After a foul on Winck by Kerim Çalhanoğlu near the edge of the box, the referee awarded a spot kick. Benedyczak stepped up and clinically converted the penalty in the 21st minute, doubling the visitors’ lead.

Despite various crossing attempts and long-range efforts from both sides in the second half, the scoreline remained unchanged. Gaziantep’s efforts, including shots from Gidado and Camara, either hit the woodwork or were saved by Kasımpaşa’s goalkeeper Gianniotis. The visitors managed the game effectively, securing a clean sheet.

With this victory, Kasımpaşa has now won three of their last four league matches, improving their record to three wins in recent form. This brings their total points to 20, propelling them up to fourth place in the table, holding a game in hand over several immediate rivals.

For Gaziantep FK, the defeat marks a significant setback. The team has now lost six consecutive league matches, leaving them with only eight points. They currently sit in 16th place, lingering in the lower portion of the standings. Kasımpaşa’s consistent results contrast sharply with Gaziantep’s ongoing struggles, highlighting the divergence in form between the two clubs as the season progresses.
